Japan U23 squad announcement

The Japan Football Association announced on 17 December the U23 squad that will participate in a training camp from the 22nd to 26th.

The selection is made up entirely of players from domestic league, and consists of eight new call-ups that includes the likes of Kashima Antlers goalkeeper Yuya Oki and FC Tokyo midfielder Shuto Abe.

Kaoru Mitoma and Reo Hatate are notable absentees due to Kawasaki Frontale’s Emperor’s Cup commitment.
