Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo announced on 29 October the signing of Portuguese forward Hugo Vieira.
The 32-year-old, who arrived from Primeira Liga side Gil Vicente, is no stranger to Japanese football, having played for Yokohama F.Marinos for ten months in 2017. He will be wearing the number 9 shirt, previously owned by Japan international Musashi Suzuki.
On joining the J1 side, Vieira said, “My name is Hugo Vieira and I am pleased to join Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. I am happy to return to the best country in the world and to this great club! I cannot wait to put on the Sapporo uniform and play in front of all of you!”
