Sanfrecce Hiroshima announced on 10 December the transfer of Masato Kudo to Brisbane Roar.
Kudo spent his developmental years with Kashiwa Reysol, and went on to make his first team debut in 2009. The forward then moved to Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer before making a return to Japan with Sanfrecce in 2017.
The former Japan international, who struggled to hold down a spot at the J1 side, had unsuccessful trials with second division outfits SK Austria Klagenfurt (Austria) and Zaglebie Sosnowiec (Poland).
In his two seasons with Sanfrecce, Kudo managed four goals in 30 J1 appearances.
