Following a stellar start to the season, Werder Bremen and Japan international forward Yuya Osako has been nominated for August’s Player of the Month in the Bundesliga.
Osako scored his first goal of the 2019/20 season against Hoffenheim on matchday 2, and helped Bremen to their first win with a brace against Augsburg in the next league match. The Bundesliga website calls him “Werder Bremen’s standout performer so far this season”.
