Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow is proceeding to sign Groningen’s Ritsu Doan, and is in the midst of preparing a formal offer, according to several sources.
Spartak had previously expressed interest in the Japan international, who is valued at 1 billion yen (approximately 8.15 million euros). The 22-time league champion finished the 2018/19 season in 5th position and qualified for the Europa League next season.
In addition, city rival CSKA Moscow, who had tried to sign Doan last season, could return with an improved offer, as well as the opportunity to play Europa League football.
